This 3-hour walking food tour takes you deep into Xi'an iconic Muslim Quarter, a historic district with over 1,300 years of heritage. Originating in the Tang Dynasty, this area was settled by Silk Road merchants, gradually forming a prosperous Hui community with unique Islamic culture and local folk customs.

Far more than a tourist spot, it retains authentic local life, where classic halal delicacies are favored by both local residents and global travelers. Today, it stands as a world-famous food and cultural landmark showcasing the unique integration of Chinese and Islamic traditions.

Led by an experienced local guide, you will stroll through bustling old alleys and taste more than 10 kinds of authentic Xi'an halal snacks and local specialties. You will sample over 10 types of classic local treats, including lamb & beef pita bread soup, sweet layered rice cake stuffed with red date and red bean paste, halal soup dumplings, sour plum beverage, sweet rice porridge, cold spicy rice noodles and cold glutinous rice cake, experiencing genuine street food culture and local stories.

We provide two flexible meeting options for your convenience. You can choose self-meeting at McDonald's at Drum Tower Plaza, or opt for pick-up service for a hassle-free experience.

Led by an experienced local guide, you will stroll through bustling old alleys and taste more than 10 kinds of authentic Xi'an halal snacks and local specialties, experiencing genuine street food culture and local stories.

You may add a visit to the Gao Family Courtyard and watch a wonderful traditional shadow puppet show (this is a special package including entry to the Gao Family Courtyard).

Upon request, Muslim local guide service is available. Please leave a note when booking, and we will arrange a professional Muslim guide for you subject to availability, to bring you more professional and in-depth religious and cultural interpretation.

Please arrive at the meeting point at least 5 minutes before departure. Show your electronic voucher or booking confirmation to the tour guide for verification. Meet your guide outside McDonald's, Drum Tower Plaza, No. 1 West Street, Lianhu District, Xi'an. The guide will lead you through the Muslim Quarter according to the itinerary. Please keep your personal belongings with you throughout the tour. The tour begins promptly at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may be considered a no-show.

• Free cancellation up to 1:00 AM on the day before departure.
• Cancellations made after 1:00 AM on the day before departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
